108-Piece Socket Set, 1/4 and 1/2 Inch Drive, 72-Tooth Ratchets, Chrome Vanadium

The socket set for car maintenance, bikes, garden machinery and flat-pack furniture. It covers both the small 1/4 inch drive for tight spaces and the strong 1/2 inch drive for wheel bolts and suspension, with metric sockets from 4 mm to 32 mm. Both ratchets have a fine 72-tooth mechanism that needs only a 5 degree swing, so they work in cramped engine bays, plus a quick-release button and a textured grip. Every piece has its own moulded slot in the blow-moulded case, so you can see at a glance if anything is missing.

Features

• 1/4 inch drive sockets 4 - 14 mm and 1/2 inch drive sockets 10 - 32 mm, 12-point
• Two 72-tooth quick-release ratchets (1/4 and 1/2 inch)
• Deep sockets, spark plug sockets 16 and 21 mm, hex and Torx bit sockets
• Extension bars, universal joint, sliding T-bar and adaptors
• Chrome vanadium steel, satin chrome finish
• Blow-moulded case with a slot for every piece

Care

Wipe the tools clean and dry after use, especially after work on a car or outdoors, and put each one back in its own slot so nothing gets lost. A drop of light machine oil on the ratchet mechanisms once in a while keeps them smooth. Store the set in a dry place to protect the chrome finish, and replace any tool that is cracked or worn rather than continuing to use it.

Safety

Use the correct size of socket, spanner or bit for the fastener, and never extend a ratchet or spanner with a pipe or strike it with a hammer. Wear eye protection when working under a car or overhead. Keep the set out of reach of children; small parts can be a choking hazard. When working on a car, support it on axle stands - never only on a jack.
